Learn the WaveZ MiniMax with a safety-first workflow.

This guide is based on the WaveZ reference documentation and teaches setup, session flow, controls, and frequency routine planning for educational use.

WaveZ equipment and this training material are for research, experimental, and educational use only. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

  • Never place pads on or over the heart. Keep at least 6-inch chest spacing.
  • Do not place pads on carotid artery region, spine, eyes, or broken skin.
  • Start intensity at zero, increase slowly to mild tingling, then reduce slightly.
  • Do not use with implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers.

Lesson 1

Startup + User Profiles

Power on MiniMax, open the WaveZ app, then configure User Runs and user names so each participant has isolated run history.

Lesson 2

Run Frequency Item

Confirm Bluetooth connection, select User, Group, and Sequence, then set minutes and repeat count before pressing Play.

Run Frequency Family

Build treatment families by naming the family, adding sequences, setting time and repeat values, and ordering entries with up/down controls.

Session Controls

Play starts a run, Pause resumes in place, Stop resets to start, and skip controls jump to next frequency or next sequence.

Firmware + App Updates

Update the app over Wi-Fi, verify version after install, and use approved firmware files for OTA updates from the main menu.

Learn placement by body region and understand square, rectangular, and small round pad use cases while avoiding restricted zones.

Frequency Item Mode: Student Run Flow

  1. From main menu, select Run Frequency Item.
  2. Choose User, then Group, then Sequence.
  3. Use the sequence filter to locate names faster.
  4. Set Time (minutes per run) and Repeat (number of loops).
  5. Press Play and monitor output.

Frequency Family Mode: Build + Execute

  1. Open Run Frequency Family and select Treatment.
  2. Press Add, name the family, then select Group and Sequence.
  3. Set Time and Repeat, then press + to add the row.
  4. Use arrows to reorder, or minus to remove entries.
  5. Save with Back, highlight family, select it, then Play.

Pad Placement by Region

  • Neck: one pad each side of spine (never on spine).
  • Shoulder: upper shoulder muscle or upper arm region.
  • Lower back: one pad each side of lumbar area.
  • Knee: around the joint, never directly on kneecap.
  • Ankle/foot: around ankle or top/bottom of foot with small pads.

Technique Notes for New Students

  • Begin with shorter sessions and increase gradually over time.
  • Keep placement symmetrical whenever possible.
  • Track run history in user profiles for review with coaches.
  • Do not remove pads while device output is running.
  • Store pads on protective film after each session.
